Milk Publicity took on Peaky Blinders at Series 3 with a view to taking it from a cult show with a restricted audience to a mainstream drama: Peaky Blinders has since achieved a double re-commission, won the BAFTA for Best Drama Series, the National Television Award for Best Drama and moved from BBC Two to BBC One for its fifth series.

Milk Publicity continued to build on the fantastic imagery of early series but chose to shoot the wider family rather than just the leads. The team engaged fans, harnessed celebrity interest, won front covers and took the series into populist media.

Milk produces Behind the Scenes and EPK content for the drama which is regularly placed with online media pages as well as effectively serving it’s traditional press function.

Peaky Blinders has become a cultural zeitgeist influencing fashion, haircuts, bars and restaurants. Birmingham Fashion Show opened with a Peaky Blinders styled show. Peaky Blinders has become part of our cultural language.

“Working with Milk has been an absolute joy. Their professionalism, dedication, passion and attention to detail have been outstanding. The level of exposure we have received across multiple media platforms has been exceptional and just being able to pick up the phone to any member of the team and have honest and straightforward conversations is invaluable. Their execution of live events has also been fantastic and incredibly slick and smooth. Can’t wait to work with them again. They really are terrific. Thanks Team Milk.” Simon Maloney, Producer

Milk teamed up with NME to make the official announcement that multi-Mercury prize nominee, Anna Calvi, would be writing the musical score for series five of Peaky Blinders
