Every week, the well-meaning amateurs of the Cornley Dramatic Society perform a half-hour play – live! – on BBC1: a horror story, a wartime drama, a legal thriller, a period romance, a deep south melodrama and a Christmas fable. And every week, the performance goes terribly, terribly wrong. Sets collapse, special effects fail, actors dry – life, limb and the studio audience are threatened. But the show must go on… From the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong.

Mischief Screen is owned and controlled by Mischief Worldwide, Anthology Studios and Mischief Screen CEO Hilary Strong and has been created to develop and produce the television work of Mischief Theatre. Mischief Worldwide is the global licensing company for the plays and other projects of Mischief Theatre and is controlled by Mischief Theatre, Kenny Wax and Stage Presence.

The series sees The Cornley Drama Society undertaking another (overly) ambitious endeavour, held back by prolific over-actor Robert Grove, the screen-hogging Sandra Wilkinson and the artistically mistrusted Dennis Tyde. Six brand new, hand-crafted, half hours of theatrical catastrophe include the gripping courtroom drama “A Trial to Watch” and World War II spy thriller “The Pilot” (which is not the pilot). The Goes Wrong Show is simply Mischief’s biggest disaster yet.
