‘The War of the Worlds’ had its UK premiere at the BFI earlier this month. The first episode was previewed at the BFI Southbank’s largest screening room, which was then followed by a Q&A hosted by Samira Ahmed with director Craig Viveiros, actress Eleanor Tomlinson (playing Amy) and Peter Harness, the writer.

Topics of discussion included why Peter chose to set his adaptation in Edwardian England, how Craig varied the colour palettes throughout the series and whether Eleanor may now believe in life on mars.

‘The War of the Worlds’ will air on Sunday 17th November, 9pm on BBC One.
